From Digital Art Teacher, Mr.Wang: This year Digital Art Showcase exhibited 71 futuristic 3D printed sculptures, 270 digital drawings and 3D modeling environments’ screenshots from 7th & 8th grade Digital Art students in the M.S.131 commons area. Students have improved substantially on 3D modeling creative 3D characters and virtual 3D architecture. By using Tinkered.com, students have visualized their unconstrained imagination in the virtual canvas & 3D space, and received tangible 3D sculptures in real life. Each 3D printed sculpture was carefully designed with a well-thought project proposal and intricate interesting details.

Poverty Line is a collaborative video research project with artist Zibo Liu and Chaoyi Chen. The voice over features Zibo Liu's friend's voice. Poverty line draws people attention to the drastic difference between the poor and the rich through juxtaposing international newspaper with food products selected based on the varies poverty lines in different countries.

Miraged Fine China is an imaginative journey of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Chinese Porcelain Collections. Following along with a visual camouflaged horse, audiences would enter seven color themes exhibition space where all the ceramic artworks are having a sleepless absurd carnival. Audiences would gradually be immersed in the celebrations and become part of the wild cultural collision of heritage and modern digital art. 中国瓷之梦幻夜是一次美国大都会艺术博物馆中国瓷器藏品奇幻旅程。 跟随着一匹穿梭在各个古代时空的马之行者，观众将进入七个色彩主题展览空间，映入眼帘的便是陶瓷艺术品举行的一场不眠的荒诞狂欢节。 观众将逐渐沉浸在庆祝活动中，并慢慢成为文化遗珠与现代数字艺术碰撞的一部分。

DREAM OF HUANGMEI is a virtual gallery featuring unique Huangmei films created by Shaw Brothers Studio in the 70s and 80s. Combining old films with traditional Chinese furniture and objects such as porcelain teapot and paper fan generates a new appearance of these cultural treasures. I hope through this immersive cinema experience new generation audiences could appreciate classical Chinese cinematic art and crafts. I extract movie clips from "Madam White Snake" 1962, "A Maid from Heaven" 1963, "The Female Prince" 1963, "West Chamber" 1964, "The Three Smiles" 1969, "The dream of the Red Chamber" 1977. All of them tell different Chinese romantic stories. DREAM OF HUANGMEI是一个虚拟画廊，创意展示由邵氏兄弟电影公司在上世纪70年代和80年代创作的独特黄梅调电影。 将老电影与中国传统家具以及瓷器茶壶和纸扇等物体结合在一起，文化宝藏们重获新生。 我希望通过这种沉浸式的电影体验能吸引新生代观众欣赏中国古典电影艺术和精湛的手工艺艺术品。 电影片段选自邵氏兄弟1962年的“白蛇传”，1963年的“天堂女仆”，1963年的“双凤奇缘”，1964年的“西厢记”，1969年的“三笑”，1977年的“金玉良缘红楼梦”。 他们分别讲述发生在书生与大家闺秀之间的情愫与浪漫故事。

This artwork reflects the complexity of cross-cultural love and diverse definitions of love. Chinese words and English words act as two single DNA chains. Encountering culture difference and language barrier, I have noticed the fact that Asian Stereotype is deeply rooted in most conservative American's mind. Asian men have suffered from prejudice from racism. Dating culture in America has put Asian men on the edge. Hence, I decide to make an artwork that not only shows the culture differences between Chinese and English speaking couple but also reals the harmony of the cross-culture love.

This is my first project that uses a super macro lens to photograph my body. By embracing a montage technique, I create a virtual magician stage that showcasing every single body movement. By recognizing a person's eyes, nose, ears, hands, and feet, people identify the uniqueness of a person. Bring absurdity into my body presentation, I make an artistic duplicate monster of myself. The weird creature is like a magician performing in front of countless audiences making funny or non-sense expressions. Thanks to my roommate, Sixin, I magnify my skin and eliminate the environment distraction. As a result, staged organic frames highlight different personalities of my body parts as if they all possess their own little brain and they are able to behave independently. 这是我的第一个使用超级微距镜头拍摄我的身体的项目。通过采用蒙太奇技术，我创建了一个虚拟魔术师舞台，展示五官与四肢的运动。 通过识别一个人的眼睛，鼻子，耳朵，手和脚，人们可以识别一个人的独特性。 荒谬的表现使我自己的艺术复制品成为一只怪物。 这个怪异的生物就像魔术师一样在无数观众面前表演有趣或无意义的表情。 多亏我的室友Sixin，我才能通过微距镜头放大皮肤并消除对环境的干扰。简言之，分阶段的有机图片突出了我身体各个部分的个性，就好像它们都拥有自己的小脑袋，并且能够独立地表现自我。

Chaos Harmony uses clouds to stands for the seeming harmony that social media demonstrates. Behind the harmony are the government's chaos and crazy policies and false claims about public health protection and science. The Soundtrack is abstracted from the American President's press conference.

Through a montage lens, this artwork presents an organic combination of western and Chinese public media about coronavirus and the global pandemic. By juxtaposing on-going news report, interviews, and a 3D model of the virus, this video art shows the high severity of the pandemic and alert the public to be responsible about their own health and follow the public health guides.

This video is about ongoing global pandemic, corona-virus. This virus first spread in Wuhan, China and it spread in the other countries that are in in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Australia. This project reveals real struggles in Wuhan, media controls, social judgment, and people's behavior patterns under severe life-threatening pandemic. Through a montage lens, this artwork presents an organic combination of western and Chinese public media about coronavirus and the global pandemic. By juxtaposing on-going news reports about coronavirus from western media and Chinese media, this video art shows the high severity of the pandemic and the questionable reality of food and medical supplies. This video aims to invoke people to avoid blindly believe the fact that public media presents and question the credibility of propaganda.

"Outsider" is a surreal documentary film of Manhattan. Through a montage perspective, I filmed a loud but silent; crowded but lonely New York City. As a traveler and foreigner, I felt lonely and anxious visiting one of the busiest cities in the world alone. Therefore, by selectively filming corners, tunnels, and wide-open space, I visualized the outsiders' anxiety and perplexity under the surface prosperous scenes. "The Outsider" invokes the viewers to think about where they truly belong to, and what they want to pursue.

Unfair treatments and some Americans' prejudice of Asians in the United States reveal the fact that the concept of Asian Stereotypes has been deeply rooted in American people's minds. Influenced by the 1882 Chinese Exclusion Act's propaganda and the fact that early Chinese immigrants took blue-collar jobs with language barriers, white supremacists think that Chinese people are submissive and weak. In addition, white men often fetish Asian women based on their skin color and body types. As a clear manifestation of refutation, this video criticized the idea of Asian Stereotypes and American racism toward Asian men and women.

Great Collaboration Avant Garde Movie with Maxine

This video is a recording of an interactive sonic game aiming to break the boundaries of computer games and classical music. The player can move a small sphere around within a 3D matrix. When the sphere hit the cubes following a certain rhythm, cubes would float and dance with the background music.

This Video is about a dream project in my mind. I want to create 100 best images about human body and emotions. With massive data and fragmented information everyday, people forget feelings and how to express themselves. I want to recall people's genuine feelings by portraying body gestures and composing unique images that focusing on negative space, light, and shapes. Thanks to my talented friend Sera for modeling.
